Ben Saunders Steps Up To FIght Jon Fitch At UFC 111

UFC welterweight contender Jon Fitch will get a second chance to dazzle the New Jersey crowd this Saturday night at the Prudential Center as the UFC has re-booked him to face Ben Saunders on Saturday night (March 27) following Thiago Alves’ sudden withdrawal from the event due to a failed CAT Scan.

“Killa B” was already scheduled to appear on the UFC 111 fight card opposite Jake Ellenberger, who now gets bumped in favor of Fitch.

- From MMA Mania

This is a huge change for both men. Ellenberger/Saunders was a nice fight to begin with, but the change to Jon Fitch presents an interesting challenge for both me. Fitch’s wrestling style isn’t too different from Ellenberger, but he is a better all-around fighter. For Fitch having to go up fight a much longer opponent that he was training for is a huge test.

This is arguably the most interesting fight on the card now.
