Once upon a time, there was a great player named Kevin Garnett. He was a fierce competitor that inspired his teams to new heights on both ends of the floor. But then, Garnett had knee surgery and turned into a parody of himself.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Kevin Garnett Doesn’t Hit A Shot From The Field
The new Kevin Garnett is sad to watch. In case that wasn’t clear, it became clear last night. Garnett went 0-7 from the field against the Wizards, failing to hit a single field goal for the first time since January of 1996, his rookie year. This, mind you, was against the Wizards’ imposing front line of Andray Blatche, JaVale McGee and James Singleton.
But don’t worry, Garnett still went out of his way to “bully” the young Wizards (specifically Andray Blatche) with his typical unsportsmanlike intimidation. Or, as Doc Rivers calls it, “active defense.” Once upon a time, that type of behavior was awesome. Now, it’s just sad.
