Around AL Central Spring Training, 4/1: White Sox All About Hustle

Royals: The Gil Meche saga continues. The latest news is that he’s now headed to the DL, along with 3B/OF Josh Fields. While most real teams have had their rosters set, or close to it, for a week, the Royals remain vague with regards to three roster spots.

Indians: David Huff has made the starting rotation. While Michael Brantley is thrilled to make the Opening Day roster.

White Sox: The new team commercials are out. Stunningly, “hustle” will be celebrated. Andruw Jones, meanwhile, still wants to play centerfield.

Tigers: The Tigers have selected Don Kelly over Clete Thomas as their 25th man. Take 75 North discusses the top relievers in the team’s system.

Twins: Twinkie Town ppreviews Joe Mauer in 2010. If only “saving baseball” was a category. Aaron Gleeman wonders if the Twins are actually using statistical analysis these days. Fangraphs, calls the Twins the #5 organization in baseball.
