Owner Chip Rosenbloom Releases Statement Regarding Stan Kroenke’s Intetion To Purchase Rams

The Rams are currently owned by the Rosenbloom family. if Stan Kroenke has his way, that won’t be the case for much longer.

As Kroenke officially announced on Monday evening he intends to buy the remaining 60% share of the Rams, the current owner, Chip Rosenbloom, has released a statement acknowledging Kroenke’s plans.

“Today we received notice that Stan Kroenke has exercised his right of first refusal under the St. Louis Rams Partnership Agreement to purchase the Rosenbloom family’s controlling interest in the team,” Rosenbloom said. “We and our advisors will work with the National Football League as we move forward with the objective of completing a transaction for the sale of our interest in the Rams.”

We still don’t know how this is going to work with the NFL’s cross-ownership rules.

In addition to the Denver area NBA and NHL franchise, Kroenke also owns a MLS team and the soccer club Arsenal. While most folks collect baseball cards and comic books, it seems Kroenke wants to collect professional sports franchises.
