Rams Fans Reaction To Carriker Trade: Another Day, Another First Round Pick Gone

SB Nation’s Rams community, Turf Show Times, doesn’t sound too surprised by the trade that sends DT Adam Carriker to the Redskins.

The Rams traded Carriker a day after re-signing DT Gary Gibson, the man who replaced Adam Carriker during training camp last season, before Carriker was injured and put on the shelf for the season. Today, DT Clifton Ryan also signed his RFA tender.

This is also another first round pick down the tubes. Last September, 2006 first round pick Tye Hill was traded and now it’s Carriker, the Rams 2007 first round pick.

Turf Show Times feels this trade gives the Rams enough ammunition to move around in the draft.

It’s worth remembering that the Rams are stockpiling enough draft picks to make some moves this weekend. Billy Devaney said as much in his comment to the media about the Carriker trade.

For full reaction to the trade, check out Turf Show Times.
