Talladega Days: Live-Blogging NASCAR’s Superspeedway Weekend

This is it. This weekend is the reason “Boys, have at it” was created.

Last fall, drivers protested when NASCAR “changed the rules” on the day of the Talladega race by announcing the no bump-drafting rule would be strictly enforced.

Well, the drivers reacted by running single file for nearly the entire race, then racing hard at the very end and causing two ugly wrecks.

So NASCAR sat back in the offseason and basically said, OK, fine. You think you can bump-draft and police yourselves when drivers get too aggressive?

Boys, have at it.

That, coupled with the change from the wing to the spoiler, has made this the can’t-miss race of the spring.

Follow along here for updates, news and analysis.
