Good News For Denver: Nene Just Has A Sprained Knee

The Nuggets initially feared that Nene tore his ACL in last night’s win over the Jazz, but an MRI conducted today provided much better news.

Chris Tomasson of Fanhouse is reporting that Nene merely sprained his knee, and while he still won’t play in Game 6, he is day-to-day thereafter. That’s great news for the Nuggets if they somehow come back in this series.

Of course, if they lose Game 6 in Utah as expected, Nene’s less severe injury won’t matter for this season. Even so, it’s good news that Nene won’t have as long a road to recovery.
