Ask Yankee bloggers and Red Sox bloggers about Monday’s 11-9 New York win and you’ll get two very distinct answers (shocking, I know).
Yankee & Red Sox Bloggers Disagree On Feelings After NY’s Dramatic 11-9 Win
Yankee blog Pinstripe Alley says…Wow, What A Game!
This had the making of a very disappointing game for the Yankees. The Down 9-7 going into the 9th the Yankees got a game-tying two-run home run from Alex Rodriguez and a walk-off two-run home run from Marcus Thames. This game should be a Yankees Instant Classic. If the Yankees were to lose this game, fans may have been pretty disappointed, rightfully so with the shaky pitching late. Instead, Yankees fans were treated to a roller-coaster type game.
Red Sox bloggers Over The Monster says…Wow, That Was Ugly.
Tim Wakefield and Daniel Bard were great in relief, setting it up in the 9th for Papelbon. He came in and just got rocked. Alex Rodriguez tied it with a two-run home run. That was deflating enough. Then Papelbon allowed Marcus Thames. No, not Marcus Thames. MARCUS FREAKIN’ THAMES to win the game with a walk-off two run home run.
Like I said, blew it hard.
