Jays outfielder Travis Snider injured his wrist over the weekend, and while it wasn't initially thought to be serious, it's bad enough to send him to the DL.
Sprained Wrist Sends Travis Snider To The Disabled List
Snider to DL with sprained right wrist. Corresponding move not announced yet. Travis heading to Florida tomorrow to begin rehab.
Snider had a rough start to the season, but had 17 hits and three homers over the 11 games preceding his injury, which makes the timing pretty bad. On the plus side, with Edwin Encarnacion due back soon from a shoulder injury, Snider's absence at least temporarily grants a starting spot to all of Encarnacion, Jose Bautista, and Fred Lewis.
