Pat Burrell Clears Waivers, Becomes Readily Available For Anyone

DH Pat Burrell, who was designated for assignment on Saturday, has officially cleared waivers:

Rays released DH Pat Burrell.
Burrell successfully cleared waivers and now can sign with any major league club at the minimum.

Burrell batted just .218 as a Ray, with 16 home runs and a .311 OBP. The 33 year old should draw a little bit of interest as he’s become freely available, but his days as a regular are long gone.
