Yankee second baseman Robison Cano was pulled early Friday night after being hit by a pitch, but after working out and passing some fitness tests early on Saturday, he was inserted back into the lineup. He’s filling Nick Johnson’s slot at DH, while Ramiro Pena plays second base.

It’s unlikely that this will be a regular arrangement, as Marcus Thames will probably get a good deal of playing time while Johnson is out.
