The already-crowded top of the 2010 Players Championship is getting even more claustrophobic. As of this writing, the top nine players are separated by just two strokes.

Robert Allenby suddenly has a share of the lead after following up a 16th-hole eagle with a birdie on the infamous 17th hole. Entering the final hole, he has a 5-under score through Round 3 and a 13-under for the tournament.

The 38-year-old Allenby has won four PGA Tournaments, but none since 2001.
