The Redskins announced the trade for Jammal Brown on Saturday night. The way things are looking, Brown will be the new starting right tackle, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post.
Looks Like Jammal Brown Will Play Right Tackle In Washington
Artis Hicks will move to guard.
The Redskins drafted Trent Williams with the No. 4 overall pick so money alone would likely put him at left tackle, the more lucrative of the two positions.
Per Pro Football Focus, Brown is actually a better run blocker than pass protector so he should fit in well on the right side where he’s not asked to protect the quarterback’s blind side.
