Charles Bennett Replaced By Connor Heun At Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum

A change has been made to the upcoming fight for the last ever EliteXC lightweight champion as K.J. Noons is now set to face off against Conor Heun in Los Angeles on June 16 as a part of Strikeforce on Showtime. Charles Bennett, Noons’ original opponent, was forced to withdraw for unknown reasons.

- From MMA Weekly

Heun is a tough fighter and a solid replacement for Bennett. He is a better fighter than Bennett actually but he was still outstruck by Jorge Gurgel in his last fight. Gurgel is a wild slugger whereas Noons has very tight, powerful boxing that will give Heun fits.

Still, this will be a nice re-introduction of Noons to the American fanbase assuming he does his job correctly.
