French Reporter Gives Profane Nicolas Anelka Quote Verbatim On ESPN

(Warning: video contains several uses of profanity.)

During a live interview on ESPN with Bob Ley, Erik Bielderman, a reporter for French sports daily L’Equipe, was asked what specific comments French national team striker Nicolas Anelka made to coach Raymond Domenech that led to Anelka’s expulsion from the squad, a move that prompted the rest of the French team to refuse to take part in practice on Sunday in a sign of protest.

It’s possible that French news programs have different practices for use of obscenity, or that simply Bielderman is so absolute in his journalism ethics that he will not doctor a quote in any way, even if it is clearly unsuitable for television.
