C’mon, John Miller, That’s Not Very PC. You’re Gonna Get Us In Trouble Again

↵Sports broadcasters take their dignity into their hands whenever they try to airily equate a sports phenomenon to an of-the-moment development from the world of consequential news. Sure, there’s the concern of coming off as callous, but almost as bad is an attempt at contentiousness that fails flat under the weight of its own desperation.

↵Speaking on the murky conditions seen at Pebble Beach on Sunday, NBC announcer John Miller said, “I don’t know who’s leaking more oil, this field or British Petroleum.”

↵I don’t know who’s reaching more: John Miller or Australian dollars. Eh? Eh?

↵[Because, you see, Aussie dollars reached a one-month high after China announced that it would allow the yuan to move higher.]

↵BOOSH! THAT’S HOW IT’S DONE, JOHN MILLER!
