Nine Month Rehab For Steelers OT Willie Colon After Tearing Achilles

It’ll be a long road back for Steelers OT Willie Colon after he tore his Achilles working out on Monday morning.

“It’s torn, and he’s getting surgery [Wednesday] morning with [team physician] Dr. James Bradley,” Colon’s agent, Joe Linta, said. “He’s expected to have a full recovery, and it’s about a nine-month rehab.”

That would all but confirm that he’s done for the season. The Steelers have acknowledged the injury but haven’t said anything about him being done for the year.
