Jeremy Shockey was expected to return to Saints practice today after an episode of dehydration landed him in the hospital last week. On Friday morning, however, Shockey wasn’t on the practice field.
Jeremy Shockey Returns To Saints Practice After Sitting Out For Back Spasms
The reason, according to Saints coach Sean Payton, was back spasms.
Those back spasms didn’t keep him out of the afternoon practice, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports on Friday evening.
Shockey participated in team drills, but he left the field before practice was over. He was not available for interviews with reporters after practice.
Shockey was on and off the injury report all of last season so judging by the start to his 2010 season, we can expect more of the same.
