Howdy folks. Mike Prada here, and I’ll be providing serious and non-so-serious commentary on tonight’s pivotal NBA Finals Game 3. A fair warning: I will probably do a lot of complaining about the announcers, Rasheed Wallace and Ron Artest. The latter two bother me when they play basketball.

(Not off the court, mind you, because Artest is awesome there).
Anyway, Sharp’s preview has pretty much everything you need to know about this game. I’ll just say this: as much as I hate talking about the refs, Sharp hits the nail on the head. Why even bother sending Bill Kennedy? Why not at least acknowledge the perception of bias? The same umpiring crew works every MLB series - why can’t the same NBA crew work every Finals game? The 2-3-2 format should ease the travel concerns, right? (Half-kidding on that last one).
Personally, I’m taking Boston tonight. I just feel like it’s more likely the Celtics’ bigs get their act together and stop the Lakers’ bigs than it is for Derek Fisher and Kobe Bryant to successfully guard Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen. If the referees don’t take Allen out of Game 1 with foul trouble, then that game ends differently. (Then again, Bill Kennedy is reffing this game. Ugh).
Let’s get it on!
