Doc Rivers just told his team they needed to play hard tonight. He said it about 20 times. It's kind of like what happens when I'm told to write a live-blog. You got to write fast tonight! Fast tonight! Faster than you wrote last time! Fast tonight! Kendrick Perkins gets switched onto Pau Gasol on the first possession and bothers him, forcing him to kick to Artest for a bad three. KG then beat Pau in transition for a dunk. Next possession, Kobe misses, KG gets under the hoop and beats the Lakers' bigs in transition. I think Perkins should check Pau the whole time, because it'll create even more crossmatches the Celtics can expose in transition. Ron Artest gets two quick fouls, and Luke Walton checks in. Wonder if Paul Pierce gets flashbacks to 2008 and actually shows up in this series. Speaking of Pierce, Derek Fisher just beat him to the basket for a layup. When Derek Fisher blows by you for a layup, that should be a wake up call. Yes, I know, KG was out of position to help, but still, come on. I'll be honest: I don't like the Big 3, but Rajon Rondo might be my favorite player in the NBA to watch. When the Lakers miss shots, they have no chance stopping the Celtics in transition. None. I really think it's time for Phil Jackson to consider more traditional player matchups and have Derek Fisher guard Rondo instead of Kobe. I believe Mark Jackson just said something dumb. Something about Rondo being two words. Don't ask.
