- I zoned out during the entire halftime show. Mission accomplished!
- Mark Jackson made a Beyonce reference in his first-half commentary. I'm not surprised.
- Jeff Van Gundy makes another great point - the Celtics' perimeter players need to come in and help out on those long rebounds. I'd be really curious to hear Van Gundy by himself as a color commentator more often, because he tends to banter too much with Mark Jackson in a three-man booth. I know he does it sometimes, but I don't remember those games right now.
- Nobody kills a possession on offense better than Ron Artest.
- Ray Allen has another corner three blocked, then misses a bunny. So far tonight, Allen has two points on 0-8 shooting. I don't even think the Lakers are doing much to stop him - he's just off. There was that charge on the fast break, and his usually quick-trigger release is slow.
- Speaking of Allen being off, the Celtics ran a great high-low play that resulted in Allen getting behind Derek Fisher. It ended with Allen barely hitting the backboard on a layup attempt. Pau Gasol bothered Allen on that shot, but that was ugly.
- Paul Pierce has four fouls, so the Celtics are playing Tony Allen, Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins at the same time. Jeff Van Gundy immediately rants, as he always does, about the lack of floor spacing when this lineup is in the game. He's right, and it matters. It's just predictable.
- After being so in the flow in the first half, Kobe Bryant's back out of it again in the second half. I guess the Lakers are going to have to live with that.
