Things were going bad for Brandon Underwood when two women filed claims of sexual assault against him. Things got better when the district attorney would not be charging him with sexual assault. Then things were going bad when it was reported that the police were considering charges of soliciting a prostitute against Underwood.
Police Confirm ‘Money Exchanged Hands’ Between Brandon Underwood, Two Alleged Prostitutes
If that’s bad, then this is worse. Police issued a news release concerning recent news reports.
According to the release from Chief of Police Tom Dorner, “money was exchanged between the alleged suspect and the alleged victims before the alleged assault.”
Underwood apologized to his teammates this week which would imply that he did something wrong. He declined comment on questions about the current case but did provide an apology.
“I understand that you guys all have a job to do, but just at this current time I’m just not going to be able to make any statements or answer any questions. I just want to apologize to my teammates, who have been dragged into this. I’m sorry that it has been a distraction for the team.”
