Chipper Jones’ agent, BB Abbott, confirmed Thursday morning that his client does have a torn ACL and he will likely miss the rest of the season:

“He said it was stretched out pretty bad,” Abbott said. “That it was torn and needed to be fixed.”
Jones indicated that he may seek a second opinion before undergoing surgery. The knee was examined by the Braves orthopedist Dr. Marvin Royster.
