Texans Confirm Rookie RB Ben Tate Is Done For The Year, Placed On IR
Tate broke his ankle in his first preseason game against the Cardinals.
He’ll have surgery on the ankle Tuesday and should be ready for 2011.
What’s especially disappointing about this is that a hamstring injury sidelined him for much of the spring workouts so the Texans really don’t know what they have in Tate.
This now means that Arian Foster and Steve Slaton will battle it out at running back for the Texans.
