Both the New York Jets and New York Giants are coming out with a strong defensive effort to start their Monday Night Football game in the new stadium in New Jersey.
NFL Preseason, Giants Vs. Jets: Defense Dominates Early, Mark Sanchez Throws Interception
The Jets defense hasn’t missed holdout CB Darrelle Revis early in the game. On the opening drive, the Giants rushed once on the Jets for -4 yards and Eli Manning went 0/2 on passing.
Getting the ball, Jets QB Mark Sanchez threw an interception on his pass of the year. CB Antrel Rolle picked it off and took it 59 yards to the one yard line.
The Giants gave RB Brandon Jacobs three straight carries and he finally got in.
The Giants lead the Jets 7-0 in the first game at the new stadium.
