NFL Preseason, Giants Vs. Jets: Eli Manning Cuts Head, Game Tied 10-10

A bit of a scary moment at the New York Giants and New York Jets game.

On a third and two from the Jets five yard line, Eli Manning looked to fake a handoff then hit Ramses Barden in single coverage in the end zone. The problem is that Brandon Jacobs didn’t look like he knew that he was going to fake the handoff.

Jacobs ran into Manning on the exchange and caused the ball to pop in the air. Manning was then hit hard by Jets LB Calvin Pace with his helmet flying off. On the way to the ground, Manning fell into a Jets player (with no helmet on) and received a cut on his head.

Manning got up and quickly realized that his head had quite a bit of blood streaming down. He left the game under his own power but trainers looked to tend to his head quickly.

The Giants recovered the fumble and on fourth down kicked a field goal to tie the game 10-10.
