Percy Harvin has had a history of struggles with migraines dating back to his days at the University of Florida. In his rookie season last year, the receiver and returner missed a game in December along with a number of practices because of headaches.
Percy Harvin’s Migraines Add To The Question Marks On Vikings Offense
Recently the migraines have the been the reason he delayed reporting to Vikings training camp until the beginning of this week. Now that first week of camp for Harvin has ended prematurely after he collapsed Thursday during a special teams drill.
Even though teammates are now saying Harvin is looking okay after the incident, there’s no reason why fantasy owners shouldn’t be troubled.
Various projections would have a healthy Percy somewhere in around the 20th best fantasy wideout, hardly someone to base your roster around, but certainly a nice option at a flex position. His propensity for return scores, of course, only further adds to his appeal. Now, of course, there has to be a very real concern whether the headaches will abate at some point before the season begins.
What’s more, when taken with the uncertainty that looms around the status of Brett Favre’s ankle, all involved in the Vikings passing game have to be viewed a little uneasily. At the same time, some early passing game struggles could reap big gains for Adrian Peterson owners.
