Ravens Acquire CB Doug Dutch In Trade With Redskins

The Ravens announced the trade with the Redskins making it official. The Ravens will get CB Doug Dutch and the Redskins will get QB John Beck.

The move is a bit confusing from the Redskins perspective considering Beck makes five quarterbacks on the Redskins roster. SB Nation’s Hogs Haven, however, likes the move.

Shanahan has clearly been unimpressed with the quality of QBs, so it’s hard to not like this trade, especially since Kevin Barnes and Tryon seem to be doing well so far in camp.

Dutch, 5’11” and 190 pounds, spent the 2009 season on the Redskins practice squad.

From the Ravens perspective, this is probably a reaction to the season-ending injury suffered by Domonique Foxworth.
