For a nice change of pace, the Bengals have come to terms with their first-round pick without a lengthy holdout. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cincinnati and first-rounder Jermaine Gresham have agreed on a five-year deal. The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Joe Reedy reports that the deal is worth up to $18.5 million, with $9.6 million guaranteed.

The 21st overall pick in the 2010 Draft, Gresham figures to start immediately for the tight end-needy Bengals. Gresham was widely regarded as a potential top-ten pick out of Oklahoma, before his season was derailed after tearing cartilage in his knee.
With Gresham signed, only three first-round picks have not yet inked deals with their respective teams: Ndamukong Suh of the Lions, Russell Okung of the Seahawks and C.J. Spiller of the Bills.
