The Cardinals issues in the passing game will already damage the stock of elite fantasy receiver Larry Fitzgerald. It looks as though the team may lack a standout in the running game, as it increasing appears that Beanie Wells will share carries fairly evenly with Tim Hightower.
Bad News, Beanie Wells Owners: Tim Hightower Won’t Go Away Easy
↵Hightower’s presence as a fantasy upstart has been an ongoing theme of his career since being drafted in 2008. He caught the attention of fantasy owners midway through his rookie season with a 109-yard performance with a touchdown in Week 9 at St. Louis, but never lived up to the promise of that game the remainder of the year. While Hightower had brilliant flashes in 2009, fumbling issues kept him from becoming a fantasy star in his own right.
↵Yahoo’s Brad Evans points out that, even as fantasy owners areof the belief that Wells is worthy of a RB2 selection, Cardinals coaches are still enamored with Hightower’s work ethic, making it unlikely that the carry distribution will swing in Beanie’s favor any time in the near future.
