Packers running back Ryan Grant has been ruled out for next week’s game against Buffalo and likely longer, meaning Brandon Jackson becomes the starter for at least one game and a key waiver wire pick-up in fantasy leagues.
Brandon Jackson Becomes Hot Commodity With Ryan Grant Out
↵Jackson was at one point considered in the running for the full-time starting job in Green Bay after being drafted in 2007, but was plagued that year with injuries and eventually lost out to Grant. He’s never posted more than 75 carries in a season, but has shown himself to be slightly more adept in the passing game than Grant, meaning while his running numbers may not be on par with Grant’s, he could reap gains in the Packers fertile passing attack.
↵Jackson was the second most picked up player in Yahoo leagues on Monday, after Rams receiver Mark Clayton, who caught a career-high 10 passes for 119 yards in his debut with St. Louis on Sunday.
