Giants Vs. Colts: Peyton Manning Gets The Better Of Brother Eli Again In One-Sided Colts Victory

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Peyton Manning was far more efficient than Eli Manning on Sunday night, as the Indianapolis Colts dominated the New York Giants, 38-14, in a marquee interconference contest at Lucas Oil Stadium.

It was the second head-to-head meeting between the Manning brothers, with Peyton’s Colts also getting the better of Eli’s Giants via a 26-21 verdict at the Meadowlands in 2006.

Peyton Manning, a four-time MVP, completed 20-of-26 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns, while his younger brother connected on 13-of-24 passes for 161 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick.

Donald Brown and Joseph Addai controlled things on the ground for the Colts (1-1), who bounced back nicely from a 34-24 loss to the Texans last week. Brown carried the ball 16 times for 69 yards and a score, while Addai rushed for 92 yards on 20 carries.

Reggie Wayne led the receiving corps with seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Dallas Clark hauled in five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks each caught a TD pass for the Giants (1-1), who opened the season with a 31-18 win over the Panthers.

Ahmad Bradshaw carried the ball 17 times for 89 yards. A frustrated Brandon Jacobs, who was limited to just eight yards on four touches, threw his helmet into the stands in the third quarter. It was said to be unintentional, but Jacobs spent the rest of the game on the sideline.
