Marshawn Lynch got his first chance to run with the football in the Bills preseason finale against the Detroit Lions and didn’t do much to beat back the momentum that first-round pick C.J. Spiller has made with early flashes of brilliance.
Marshawn Lynch Struggles To Counter C.J. Spiller’s Early Buzz
↵Lynch got five carries and gained only two yards in limited action. The other member of the Bills running back tandem from last year, Fred Jackson, has only two carries in the preseason and is still considered questionable going into Buffalo’s Week 1 game.
↵Spiller was held out of the game against Detroit as a precautionary measure, perhaps signaling that he will be the feature back for team’s opener at home against the Dolphins. Spiller has 26 carries for 122 yards and three touchdowns in the preseason.
