Week 3 NFL Scores And Results: Big Wins For Falcons, Titans, Chiefs, And Cowboys
Drew Brees passed for 365 yards and three touchdowns, but threw two costly picks in the first half. Matt Ryan's 228 was supplemented by 202 yards of rushing on 50 attempts, including 114 from Michael Turner. The Saints never really fussed with running the ball after losing Reggie Bush before the game.
Atlanta held the ball for over 45 minutes, due to New Orleans' pair of big plays by Lance Moore: an 80-yard touchdown catch and a 72-yard punt return that set up an easy opening touchdown to Jeremy Shockey. Moore had 149 total receiving yards.
Both tight ends had great games, with Shockey totaling 78 yards and Tony Gonzalez leading Atlanta with 110.
