LenDale White no longer needs to worry about serving his four-game suspension for substance abuse this season: on Friday, the Broncos placed the running back on the season-sending injured reserve list after he suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Thursday nights preseason exhibition against the Vikings, this according to the Denver Post.

White left the game in the second quarter and did not return. In August, he signed a two-year deal with the Broncos to help add depth to their running game. White will still serve his four-game suspension for drug use, beginning next week, regardless of the injury. “He’ll serve it this year,” said Corry Rush, AFC Information Manager for the NFL.
