Bosnia and Herzegovina performed as expected in Luxembourg on Friday, following-up a strong World Cup qualifying campaign with a 3-0 victory that puts them on top of Group D after the first match day. Scoring all three goals within the first 16 minutes of play, Bosnia and Herzegovina cruised for the last hour-plus of the match.
Attacker Senijad Ibricic opening the scoring in the sixth minute, followed six minutes later by Miralem Pjanic. Edin Dzeko capped the scoring at the 16 minute mark, after which the visitors settled in. By the second half, Luxembourg was able to create opportunities against a relaxed Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Luxembourg was playing without captain Jeff Strasser, injured for the match.
