Filip Holosko stole two extra points for Slovakia, posting a stoppage time goal against visiting Macedonia to earn 1-0 victory on Friday.
The goal came with Slovakia up a man after Vance Sikov’s sending-off, having earned two yellow cards. To that point, Slovakia had the better of the chances, but the advantage was not so great as to begrudge the visitors their point.
Macedonia’s best chances came through Ivan Trickovski’s strike in the 18th minute and a shot from Goran Pandev in the 71st minute.
After Sikov was dismissed in the 85th minute, Slovakia coach Vladimir Weiss subbed-off defender Peter Pekarik for attacker Jakub Sylvestr, the move paying-off with Holosko’s goal.
