Over the past three years, there hasn’t been a whole lot to dislike about Adrian Peterson as a fantasy football player. He’s been among the elite racking up over 1,300 yards in each of the last three years and scoring at least ten touchdowns. In 2009, he doubled his receptions adding even more points to his fantasy game.
Fantasy Football Players Rejoice: Adrian Peterson Has Fixed His Fumbling Problem
There’s been just one problem with Peterson: He fumbles.
His rookie year he had just four fumbles but followed that up with nine and then seven fumbles in years two and three. Peterson says now he’s recognized the root of the problem.
“I found out at times by studying myself that when I’m going down, I kind of brace myself with the hand that I’m carrying the ball in and that’s leaving opportunities for those guys that are in there scraping and punching for that ball, gives those guys opportunities to make big plays,” he said.
If Peterson can put a kibosh on the fumbling, and continue to add 40+ receptions a year to his game, then he’ll continue to be among the most dangerous players in the league for fantasy football.
