2012 NFL Draft: Luke Kuechly Declares, Will Skip Senior Season
The 6-foot-3, 237-pound linebacker enjoyed an outstanding season while playing for a poor Boston College team that went 4-8. Kuechly set a career-high in total tackles with 191 while reaching over 100 solo tackles for the second year in a row. He picked off three passes for a second straight year. For his efforts, Kuechly won the Butkus Award in 2011 as college football’s top linebacker.
Kuechly will be considered one of the top inside linebackers in the upcoming draft, with many thinking he will be the first one taken. In SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL mock draft, Ryan Van Bibber has Kuechly landing with the Philadelphia Eagles at the 15th overall pick.
