Super Bowl XLV is nearly here, and chances are, if you’re reading this, you’ve spent most of the week poring over too many prop bets to keep track of, hearing more predictions than you thought possible, and watch the line in Vegas, hoping it’ll jump half-a-point in your direction.
Packers Vs. Steelers Odds: Where To Find Prop Bets, Lines, Analysis
But now that we’re in the eleventh hour, it’s important to have a few key resources to count on. My personal favorite is Sportsbook.com, but BoDog is also pretty outstanding and offers a breathtaking array of prop bets. Remember, though: for entertainment only!
For analysis, I like the guys at Odds Shark. For instance, Mike Pickett breaks down the Roethlisberger and Rodgers props bets for Sunday, and offers up some good info:
Let’s start with passing yards, where Rodgers is being handed a 35.5-yard spread by the oddsmakers. Surprisingly, during the regular season Roethlisberger actually averaged more passing yards with 266.7 per game compared to Rodgers’ 263. During the playoffs it’s been a different story. In two playoff games the Steelers’ pivot has averaged only 179.5 passing yards, while Rodgers has averaged 263 yards per game during the Packers’ playoff run. That is a difference of 83.5 yards, so even with the 35.5-yard spread Rodgers looks like the smart pick in the Super Bowl.
There’s also Chad Millman’s podcast at ESPN which is pretty indispensable. This week, he interviewed someone named “Teddy Covers” who billed himself simply as a “Vegas Vet.”
I mean, who in America doesn’t love gambling?
