I hesitated calling the Seattle Seahawks wildcard weekend win over the New Orleans Saints a miracle but it's awfully close. The Seahawks were 10 point underdogs but put up 41 points on the defending champs en route to the upset of the year. The Seahawks now focus their attention on the Bears as they travel to Chicago on Sunday.
NFL Playoff Schedule: Seahawks Run Continues Against Bears On Sunday
The Bears have the second seed in the NFC meaning they had a first round bye and will host the divisional round game in Chicago. The Bears have struggled offensively at times sitting at 21st in the NFL in scoring while their defense has been what we think of when someone says Chicago defense -- hard-nosed, capable of stopping the run and a large part of them securing the second seed in the NFC.
The Seahawks once again will be given little chance to beat their next opponent but as the Saints game showed us that doesn't matter. Matt Hasselbeck came alive against the Saints and torched their secondary so you have to think that will be part of the game plan against the Bears.
The Bears are 10 point favorites already so clearly most are thinking they’ll walk away with this one.
The two teams will meet on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (ET) on FOX.
Check out Field Gulls and Windy City Gridiron for more on the game.
