Kenny Stills and Tony Jefferson, two University of Oklahoma football players who impact the team as freshmen this past season, were both arrested Friday night on misdemeanor complaints in their hometown of San Diego.
Two Oklahoma Football Players Arrested For Misdemeanor Complaints, Including DUI
Norman Police Department lieutenant Jennifer Newell told the Tulsa World on Saturday that Stills, 19, was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence at 2:10 a.m. and Jefferson, 19, was arrested for interference with the official process at 2:30 a.m. Both arrests occurred in the 700 block of Jenkins Avenue, north of campus corner.
Oklahoma says that they will handle the situation internally as well.
Stills is coming off a record-breaking season as a wide receiver for the Sooners. He caught 61 passes for 786 yards and five touchdowns and set Oklahoma freshman records for catches and receiving yards.
Jefferson plays defensive back and he made 65 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
