Deron Williams’ Wrist Injury Likely To Sideline Him For At Least One More Game

The Utah Jazz have been struggling recently, so it's a bad time for star Deron Williams to get hurt. Williams has already missed two straight games due to a strained tendon in his wrist, and he is doubtful for Monday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, according to Brian T. Smith of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Williams suffered the injury last Wednesday, during a 112-105 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. He played through the injury then, but has sat out the team's two games this weekend. The Jazz are 1-1 without Williams, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and falling to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.

Prior to the game against Golden State, Williams said the injury was getting worse, not better. Via Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune.

After the Jazz's morning shootaround, Williams said, "It's actually worse today. I did some shooting [Saturday] and I shouldn't have done that because it's a little more sore today."

Williams is averaging 21.9 points and 9.4 assists for the Jazz, who have lost seven of their past eight games.
