Ohio State, the No. 1 team in the nation, entered Wisconsin's Kohl Center on Saturday as America's only undefeated basketball team. With the Madison faithful roaring, however, the No. 13 Badgers rallied from a 15-point deficit, and Jordan Taylor caught fire to give Wisconsin a 71-67 win.
Wisconsin 71, Ohio State 67, Final Score: Jordan Taylor, No. 13 Buckeyes Rally To Down Nation’s Last Undefeated Team
With 13:16 left in the game, Jared Sullinger and the Buckeyes held a 47-32 lead. All of a sudden, though, nothing was falling for Ohio State, and it seemed as though everything was falling for Taylor and the Badgers. Taylor knocked down three after three, scoring 16 points in an eight-minute span. Meanwhile, Wisconsin created turnovers on defense, and Ohio State couldn't manage to sink many of the shots they were able to get off.
Taylor led the Badgers with 25 points and seven assists while also pulling down four rebounds. Ohio State was led by William Buford, who scored 21 points in total. Star forward Jared Sullinger played well, grabbing 11 rebounds and scoring 19 points.
With this win, the No. 13 Badgers improve to 19-5, and 9-3 in the Big Ten. Ohio State, meanwhile, falls to 24-1 overall, but the Buckeyes remain in first place in the Big Ten with an 11-1 conference record.
