Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson Paired At Doral In WGC-Cadillac Championship First Round
Woods and Mickelson, two of the world’s highest-profile golfers, are set to tee off in the same group at 11:51 a.m. Eastern on Thursday. They’ll be joined by Graeme McDowell, the No. 4 golfer in the world. Woods and Mickelson are ranked at No. 5 and 6, respectively.
Mickelson is 11 months removed from his most recent PGA Tour win, his memorable triumph at the 2010 Masters. Meanwhile, Woods, a noted golf enthusiast, is still on the hunt for his first PGA Tour win since September 2009, and his 72nd overall.
The final group is made up of world No. 1 Martin Kaymer, No. 2 Lee Westwood, and No. 3 Luke Donald. This is the second of four World Golf Championship events.
