Nadal, Wozniacki Top Seeds For BNP Paribas Indian Wells

It’s the biggest match of the spring to take place in America and it began today. The BNP Paribas Open takes place in Indian Wells, Calif. and features a 96-player draw.

The No. 1 and No. 2 singles players for the ATP are Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, respectively. On the WTA, Caroline Wozniacki holds the No. 1 seed with Kim Clijsters at the No. 2 seed.

Wozniacki is looking for the final match, which she made it to last year when she lost to Jelena Jankovic. Clijsters won the tournament in ‘03 and ‘05. Neither Nadal or Federer were in the finals last year. However, if you’re going on odds, you might want to vote in Federer’s favor. He holds the most consecutive titles for the tournament with three between 2004-2006.

All matches will begin being aired on the tennis channel on March 12. Matches between March 12 - March 17 will air on the Tennis Channel. The WTA Semifinals will be aired on March 18 on the Tennis Channel and on ESPN2. The ATP Semifinals and finals will be aired on the Tennis Channel and ABC.
