Eddy Curry May Join Miami Heat For Playoffs, According To Report

Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that former Knicks center Eddy Curry is a potential target for Pat Riley and the Miami Heat. Reports indicate that Riley has been watching Curry work out in Chicago in recent days and the plan is for him to travel to Miami early next week for a workout and physical examination. If Curry checks out ok then the goal would be to add Curry to the roster.

Wojnarowski quotes a league source as saying the chances of the Heat signing Curry are "better than 50-50". Reports abound that after Curry was bought out by the Minnesota Timberwolves, his weight was hovering at around 375 pounds. It is thought that Curry is in the 350-pound range currently after working out with trainer Tim Grover in Chicago since being released. It remains to be seen what kind of impact he could have if any for the Heat.

Curry has played in a total of 10 games over the last three seasons including none this season.
