Basically, Pujols felt a little tug in his leg and decided not to push it. It was news just because it was Pujols, but had it been anybody else, it would not have been news because this hardly even qualifies as an injury. It’s more of a temporary inconvenience. Pujols might sit out Tuesday’s game, or he might not - that hasn’t been decided - but if he’s not back to normal tomorrow, he will be shortly.
Pujols is currently sitting on an .806 OPS that was down at .447 just two weeks ago. Since then, he’s batted .333 with six home runs. Early-season panic is always so hilarious.
