Tyshawn Taylor will return to play for Kansas Jayhawks basketball next year instead of entering the 2011 NBA Draft. Taylor was able to average 9.3 points and 4.6 assists per contest, but also had to serve a two-game suspension for violating team rules.
Tyshawn Taylor, Thomas Robinson Returning To Kansas Basketball Next Year
Robinson had a heartbreaking sophomore season, dealing with repeated deaths in his family. The six-foot-nine, 237-pounder still managed to produce 7.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, somehow missing only five nights of basketball.
Robinson on his difficult year and his expectations for the future:
This was the most trying year of my life. I want to thank everybody and I can’t wait to run up and down the court in a packed Allen Fieldhouse next year. I plan on busting my butt this summer to improve my game. I want to take more of a leadership role in us moving forward and winning another league championship and getting to the Final Four.
