2011 NFL Draft: Mike Pouncey Predicts He’s Going To Dallas Cowboys

Florida offensive lineman Mike Pouncey is expected to have a shot as a first round pick in the 2011 NFL draft, and could be the first interior lineman taken. Pouncey had a solid career at Florida and his stock is likely helped by the impressive play of his brother, Maurkice, as a rookie with the Pittsburgh Steelers last year.

Pouncey looked sharp at Florida’s pro day in March and, after going on visits with teams, he has an idea of where he’ll be playing next year, which he talked about on his Twitter account.

Headed back to pittsburgh.... would be shocked if i wasnt in a dallas uniform nxt year! The draft is april 28th so we will see....

I'm not sure how the Cowboys would select him absent a trade down. Dallas picks ninth overall which seems awfully high for Pouncey. Jerry Jones did indicate that he's received offers on the ninth pick suggesting they're interested in trading down. It's unlikely Pouncey is around in the second round when the Cowboys pick.

But if he had his choice on where he goes next...

To all the steelers fans i would love to be playing for the steelers and if i had a choice i would but it isnt my choice...

Interesting stuff. The Steelers pick 31st in the draft so that’s a more reasonable spot for him to go, I think. Pouncey will attend the draft on April 28, where he’ll hope to be a first rounder.
